Week #4 letter

I'm not going to complain about William's letters anymore...I love them all, whether they are long or short, detailed or not, I don't care.

This week's letter came on Monday.  I wasn't expecting it, but I got a letter in the mail from him today and so I knew that he was traveling to San Francisco tomorrow, so I didn't think I'd be getting an e mail this week....so I'm thrilled to get this Monday e mail!!!!

I think I'll go back to just writing what the letter was about since that's what he asked me to do and that's what he thinks I am doing.  Last week's was just so "William" that I didn't want to try to change his words, because I am just not as funny or good at storytelling!

I had sent him a picture of the Sharks first round draft pick....William's very first sentence just says "that guy looks super lame"....haha...which I thought was funny because WHO starts a letter with not "hi" or "dear" or any greeting at all but just a sentence - he looks really lame.

Then he quoted the scripture John 14:6 ""when I am weak, then i am strong".  He bore his testimony of teaching with the spirit.  He realizes that he has to be humble and let the spirit take over in order to teach the investigators.  He knows that he cant do anything without Jesus Christ and the infinite atonement.  He believes he can do all things through Jesus Christ and that he is only powerful when he is humble.

He also wrote about his investigator Chris, who has committed to baptism 3 times, but backed out all three times.  William knows that he has been too imposing sometimes and that when he lets the spirit work, it works, even though he may be the worst teacher ever.  The investigator is driving him crazy, but it's "so good".  I think that means that teaching him has taught William a lot.

He is happy to get out of "prison" tomorrow and visit California.  He asked about the Utah fires because it is so smoky there, but they are not able to follow any news, so they have no idea what is going on.

He was really excited that his two french teachers (who the whole district has been trying to set up) went out on a date last weekend and the sister teacher was blushing a lot when she told them about the date.

He wants to know what is going on on Facebook and and he has almost reached his half way point in the MTC, but he doesn't like the TALL (computer program study aid) because it is soooooo boring.

There is a French Elder in his district who is SUPER sick.  Everyone is calling what he has the "le mort noir" (the black death) because he is so sick.  And because all of the French Elders have been exposed to it they are not allowed to shake hands with anyone.  So he thinks its really hard and rude and weird to have to deny everyone their handshakes.

Some of his best friends at the MTC are Elder Chelson's district.  They are the ones who have gotten everyone to call him "Neil Diamond".

All of the elders on his floor who were going to the Philippines ans left today, so there are only 3 rooms of people there right now on that floor.  One of the other elders and William run around the floor every morning at 6:00 am for exercise.  And everyone in their room does pushups and sit ups and stuff for 20 minutes every night.

L. Tom Perry is going to be speaking at the MTC tomorrow, but that is the day that William will be gone, so he wont get to hear him.  And he hasn't seen any of the General Authorities, but most of them are there right now at the MTC.

His friends Jessica George and Katie Beus are in the MTC now.

His last sentence said to tell EVERYONE to write to him and have Melanee tell SVU people to write to him.

So, everyone write to him.  Let me know if you want to learn how to use Dearelder.com...or just send a letter (and pictures) to the MTC address on the sidebar of the blog here!
