Leftover Quiche, Australian Accents, friends

This was William's e mail from Sept 17th--
This week was pretty odd. Well, first of all, yeah, the 2 other elders moved in. I think it'll be so good for our area to have 2 more missionaries. Our area is HUGE!

Everything is going great with the man we have a baptismal date with. He is going to be such a strong member! He has so many friends in the ward. The baptism is scheduled for the 29th.

Since the other 2 missionaries moved in halfway through the week, we didn't really think ahead to buy enough food for 4 grown people.  So towards the end of the week we had to get really creative with our dinner. We made a quiche with pineapple, onions, potatoes, and old spaghetti. The other elders are shopping right now while we're doing emails, so I hope they buy enough.

Something pretty weird happened. We got a referral from the missionaries in Versailles. so we went and taught them a lesson. That night we contacted a Thai girl on the street who barely spoke french or English. We told her that we could give her a Thai book of Mormon and bring it to her and she really didn't want to give her address or her number, so we just kinda thought we'd seen the end of her. Then at our next rendez vous with the referral family, guess who was there... that Thai girl! and her husband! we taught all 4 of them an awesome lesson! The 2 wives work together.

That's pretty much all of the news for this week. I'm pretty excited because we are having a legality thing for everyone from my mtc group, so I get to see my district this week.

I keep thinking about how different it must be to be a missionary in Chico, or at least speaking English.

And also dad, whenever we are out in public we speak in Australian accents. I thought that you would think that's funny. We do it because people can pick up on our American accent even in french, so we just speak English with an accent. It's so funny.
